|
On Wednesday night, August 11, as crews were wrapping up station chores, RE49 was alerted to AACO to the BW Parkway southbound, south of 198. RE49 arrived on scene to find one car that barrel rolled down the embankment, on it's drivers side and against a tree, pinning and trapping the patient inside. RE49 shored the car while TK45 began cutting the rear hatch away. The crew from the rescue engine then used an attic ladder to gain patient access from the passenger side door, removing it, and lifting the dash to free the patient and remove her from the car. Patient was extricated in under 10 minutes and units returned to service shortly thereafter. |
