Cut Job Interrupts Clean Up: Larchdale Rd & Contee Rd.

| As units were clearing from the big fire on Oxwell Lane around 1145hrs, Rescue Squad 49and Rescue Engine 49 were alerted to Larchdale Road for the report of a motor vehicle accident with someone still trapped inside. Units arrived on scene to find a head on accident with one occupant still trapped inside the car. Units went to work immediately extricating the unconscious patient and assisting with the packaging of the other 3 patients on the scene. The patient was extricated in under 6 minutes. Units operated to about 1230 hrs. |

1st Due Job With Heavy Fire Showing: 8738 Oxwell Lane

| At 1616 hrs, Rescue Engine 49 was alerted for the house on fire at 8738 Oxwell Lane. Rescue Engine 49 quickly responded noticing a large column in the area of Montpilier subdivision. The Rescue Engine arrived on scene, layed dual lines into scene and operated on the fireground for just over 5 hours. Units were evacuated twice by command and sent back in to mop up and finish overhaul. Chief 49 and Chief 49A were also on scene at the command post. |

Fully involved house goes defensive: 15907 Jerald Road

In the early morning hours of April 25th, Squad 49 along with surronding companies were alerted to a house on fire 2 houses down from 15903 Jerald Road. First arriving units found heavy fire from all windows with all occupants outside the structure. Defensive operations were taken. Squad 49 manned a handline on side charlie protecting exposures while Chief 49 had Side Charlie. Squad 49 was on scene for just over 3 hours knocking down all visible fire and protecting surrounding houses.

Squad catches working kitchen fire: Dove Circle

| In the evening hours of April 21st, Squad 49 was alerted for a box alarm, reporting kitchen on fire in the townhouse. Squad 49 arrived on scene, side alpha, with a 2 story middle of the row townhouse with smoke showing. Squad 49 entered and knocked down the kitchen fire with a water can while the crew split and searched the bottom and top floors for occupants. Extension was confined to the kitchen and units we ready in about an hour and a half. Chief 49A had the command. |
