10 Kayakers Pulled From Swollen Waters

LVRS Water Rescue Water Rescue 2

Friday June 19, 2009. The water rescue team from LVRS was alerted to the report of missing kayakers in the water reported near Queen Anne Bridge Road. Upon arrival, the team from LVRS discovered that a number of kayakers were missing from a larger group that had ventured on the river. Significant rainstorms over the past weeks have saturated the ground and have kept many creeks and rivers at near flood stages. The Boat from LVRS was the only unit that was deployed into the swift moving waters and made all of the rescues. (Photos courtesy of NBC4)
