One Trapped on Powder Mill Rd. |
November 30th, at around 115 in the morning Squad 849 was alerted to Powder Mill Rd and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway for a personal injury crash. C849B arrived on scene to find a two car crash with one trapped in one of the vehicles. Engine and Ambulance 831 arrived and took care of the patient in the first vehicle while Squad 849 performed the extrication on the second vehicle. After removing both driver side doors and the "B" post the patient was freed and was handed over to A835 and was transported to a local trauma center.

Personal Injury Crash with One Vehicle on Fire

On Wednesday November 12, Company 849 was alerted to the personal injury accident. While units were responding, Communications advised that County Police were on the scene with one car on fire. RS849, RE849, and A849 arrived on the scene to find the results of a head-on collision with one of the vehicle's engine compartment on fire. RE849 handled the vehicle fire while RS849 assisted EMS with one patient that was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. |

On Sunday 11.09.2008 WR849 and TR822 brushed up on water rescue skills at Fairland Aquatic Center.
