Two Alarm Fire on Briston Street

| On January 8th at 0422 units from the Laurel area were dispatched to 14007 Briston Street for a reported condo fire. Units from company 810 were first arriving and found heavy fire conditions on multiple floors. RE849, SQ849 and Chief 849B responded and operated on the two alarm fire for about 5 hours. |

Mutual Aid House Fire in Howard County |
| On January 7th around 2200, units responded to 10270 Stansfield Rd for a reported house fire. SQ849 was the first arriving unit and found heavy fire conditions on a two story single family home. As the crew started to make entry, two of the homeowners reported one missing. SQ849 quickly performed a search only to find out that the missing resident was outside. SQ849 operated for about 2 hours, assisting with fire extinguishment and overhaul. |

Motor Vehicle Crash with Entrapment on the B/W Parkway

In the early morning hours of Sunday Jan 6, 2008. SQ849, A849 and CH849A were dispatched to the Baltimore/Washington Parkway, North of Powder Mill Road for the MVC. Upon the arrival of SQ849, a single auto with one occupant was found against a tree with entrapment. An enhanced assigned was requested with helicopter. Units from Company 849 and Company 831 worked together to extricate and load the patient onto the helicopter.

Company 49 Runs Plane Crash

At approximately 1630, on Saturday 5 January 2008, RE849, SQ849, A849 and CH849A were dispatched to the Baltimore/Washington Parkway and the Prince Georges/Anne Arundel County line for the plane crash. Units from Prince Georges and Anne Arundel Counties worked together to transfer the patient from the plane to the transport unit, and to mitigate the fuel spill from the aircraft, which was a small Ultra Light craft. One adult trauma was transported to a local trauma center.
