Last Fire of the Year for LVRS

At approx 2200 hours on 12/31/2008: RE849, A849B, CH49B and CH49A (as Batt6) and others were alerted to the apartment fire on Springhouse Road. A small fire was found in an exterior wall, units cleared in an hour and half.

City of Laurel Holiday Parade

On Saturday December 6th, the City of Laurel held its Annual Holiday Parade. This year LVRS introduced the NEW and IMPROVED Mrs. Claus.

Small Fire on Enfield Ct.

Just after midnight December 6th, Rescue Engine 849 was alerted to 8814 Enfield Ct. for the apartment fire. After investigating, a small fire was located in the furnace room with very little extension into the floor above. The fire was quickly contained and units returned to service within an hour and a half.

Three Alarm Fire in Maryland City

December 3rd at 1425 both Rescue Engine 849 and Rescue Squad 849 were alerted to 3563 Ft. Meade Rd. for an apartment fire in Anne Arundle County. Due to volunteers being in the station both responded with 7 personnel. Company 849 was the second arriving company to fire heavy smoke coming from a 5th floor apartment. Company 849 and a unit from Anne Arundle County found heavy fire conditions on the 5th floor and extensions to the 6th floor. Company 849 was held for 4 hours.
