MVC /c Entrappment

November 19 - Rescue Squad 849, Ambulance 849, and Chief 849B along with other units were alerted to a motor vehicle crash on Brock Bridge Road @ Laurel Bowie Road. Upon arrival units found a single vehicle in the woods with a patient trapped with lower extremity fractures. Rescue Squad 849 extricated the patient and the patient was transported by Medic 849 to an area trauma center. Chief 849B was the incident commander. |

Kitchen Fire on Snowden Oaks Place |
| On November 19 just before 1030 RE849 was alerted to 8448 Snowden Oaks Place for a reported grease fire in the kitchen. While en route, additional reports came in indicating that the kitchen was on fire. RE849 arrived on the scene with fire showing. The crew went to work and the fire was quickly brought under control. Units cleared in just over an hour. |

Captain Gibson Named American Legion Post 60
Rescue Squad Man of the Year

November 1, 2007 - Capt. Rafael Gibson was honored by the Laurel American Legion Post #60 as its Rescue Squad man of the Year for 2007. Rafael, and all of the award winners from Laurel Volunteer Fire Department, Laurel Police Department, the Maryland State Police, Maryland City Fire Department and the Police & Sheriff's Departments from Anne Arundel & Howard Counties, were treated to a wonderful dinner at the Legion hall.
