Pedestrian Struck by a Train

Monday the 28th - 1024 - LVRS was alerted for a Pedestrian struck by a train in the area of Lafayette & Irving. The tracks were reopened by 1100. Patient was transported to PG Trauma by 498. Units cleared in about an hour. Units included E104, M78, SQ49, A498, C49B, C49A & C49, as well as EMS11 & BC6.

Ivy Hill Memorial Day Service

On Sunday May 27th, LVRS attended the 32nd Annual Ivy Hill Joint Memorial Service honoring fallen members of LVRS, LVFD, American Legion Post 60 and LPD. Our own Michelle Arsenault, Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors, gave an eloquent speech about remembering our lost but not forgotten.


Company 12 helps out LVRS

We here at LVRS would like to thank our brothers at College Park VFD for lending us Engine 122. Squad 49 is out of service with a transmission problem leaving the citizens of Laurel without Heavy Rescue coverage. College Park VFD was gracious enough to help us maintain the level of service our citizens deserve.

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK

On May 17, 2007, A499, M49, Chief 49A, along with E104 responded to the rollerblader struck by a vehicle. One transport by helicopter to Childrens Hospital.

LVRS Comes to the Aid of a Mother in need on
Mothers Day.

On May 13, 2007, company 49 was requested by Laurel Police to assist a mother duck and her four ducklings that were trapped in a storm drain.

Main Street

On Saturday, May 12, 2007. Units and members from the Squad participated in the Annual Main Street Festival.

CUT JOB

On May 9th at 1952 RE49 was alerted for the MVC at Brockbridge Rd. and Rt.198. RE49 arived on scene behind AACO E272 to find one trapped. RE49 removed both driver side doors to gain acess to the patient. In all two were flown to a trauma center, and RE49 cleared in 20 min.

Overturned on the Parkway

On 4 May 2007, RS49, A496, A498, Ch49 and Ch49A were alerted for the overturned vehicle on the Baltimore- Washington Parkway with trapped victims. 3 to PGH trauma.
