Water Supply Drill

On Monday Night, August 27, 2007. Units from Co10, 49 and MoCo Sandy Spring participated in a rural water supply drill. Although the Laurel area is mostly hydranted, the companies have run a number of fires that required tanker operations in the Van Dusen road area.

LVRS Fields a Softball Team

August 25 & 26 - LVRS fielded a team for the County Association Softball Tournament.

Thrift Store

On Thursday afternoon, 08.16.07 RE49 and Ch49A were alerted to the building fire at the local Thrift Store. Fire was contained to the trash room and dumpster. Units cleared in 2 hours.

National Night Out

Tuesday August 7th - LVRS participated in the National Night Out in Laurel, hosted by the Laurel Police Department. LVRS demonstrated a vehicle extrication for the crowd.
