Roof fire on Talbot
Avenue. Rescue Squad 49 was dispatched to a reported roof on fire
on Saturday. Upon arrival there was smoke showing from the roof
line of a split-level single family home. With E101 and Squad 49,
crews forced entry and searched the house. Further investigation
found a small fire on the roof around a fan motor. Thanks to some
very observant neighbors damage to the house was minimal.

One overturned and trapped.
While cleaning up from the roof fire, Squad 49 was dispatched to
single motor vehicle crash with one patient still in the overturned
car and trapped. Upon arriving on the scene crew from Squad 49 had
to cut through several trees with chainsaws to gain access to the
vehicle. After clearing room around the vehicle, Squad 49 had to
extricate the patient from the car. The roof had collapsed trapping
the patient in the car. Transport was by Trooper 8. |
